Some of my favourite patches;
(PATCH APPREHENSION TEAM)
I'm a big fan of all things USMS; the idea of tracking the worst of the worst, not to mention "the biggest game" - human beings. The logo's pretty cool, too.
This is just a very pretty patch - well-embroidered, a very "deep" patch. The idea of guarding the gateways to the US sounds neat to me, though it requires far more patience than I have.
The buzzard's a cool variant of an already-cool NOPD logo - it's really nice when subdued. Wouldn't want to live there, but it's one of my favourites.
This is one I want on a jacket (no "wannabe" cracks from the peanut gallery, now). It's rare (at least up here in Canada), simple, and cool (BOMB DISPOSAL UNIT).
What little boy doesn't like trains - and cops? Put 'em both together, and whaddya got? One of the best jobs ever - in the summer, anyways.
This one's actually a trader - but I expect a fair bit for it, especially since it's one of the few FBI patches that's actually way cool.
Gil Grissom - the first of the totally cool nerds. I can't stand Gil's spiders, but I love the patch - the LVPD star is one of the coolest.
Speaking of "cool", the Brits are always understated, without a lot of decorative bullshit on their uniforms, and the Denver PD is much like that.
You have to be a Mark Twain fan to understand the jumping frog in the middle. I just like the name "Calaveras County." Sounds neat.
"Our Day Starts When Yours Ends". Need we say more? (love the city of Chicago, too - like Toronto...on steroids...)
This is one of the nicest patches out there - simple, yet sharp, well-laid out and official-looking without B.S. showoff glitter.
I'll admit it - I don't like the design all that much - but, without being racist, boy, do I like the idea of working there...
